How a roof-terminated dryer vent gets cleaned

The work starts at the dryer, not the roof. We pull the machine forward and disconnect the transition hose. Crushed foil flex behind a dryer shoved tight to a closet wall is the first thing we look for. Then we go up. The roof cap comes off or opens, and the screen gets inspected before anything spins. A rotating brush on flexible rods is fed down the duct from the cap, with a vacuum held at the laundry end to catch what breaks loose. We work the brush in short passes.
